Been wanting to do this for a while now. A new cabin air filter was actually the first thing that I bought for the car, and finally took the 10 minutes to do it.
No tools required, just a new filter. I purchased it from Amazon.
The cabin air filter is located under the passenger side front cowl. You just need to pop 3 or 4 of the little snaps holding the hood gasket out. Wedge your hand in and pull the old filter out. Replace the old filter with the new one. Pop it back in, snap it shut, and you’re done!
As you can see, my old filter was absolutely disgusting. Completely clogged. I doubt it had ever been replaced…
